Much more than a bookstore...

A community for the curious.

Let's learn together.

We Offer

We specialize in technical books to feed the mind. We also carry a selection of fiction to feed the imagination.

Games & Puzzles

We carry challenging classic and new age games. Also, physical contraptions, such as Rubik's Cubes, Tavern and Hanayama puzzles. Play them here with friends or take them home.

Group Lessons

We offer guided group lessons and other activities on a variety of topics.

Come with questions. We're here to help. As our community grows, we're looking for knowledgable folks to lead discussions and answer questions. Contact us if interested!

Learning, like physical exercise, is best done with friends. We started the Orenco Learning Club to create the ideal learning environment for incurably inquisitive minds like ours.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Us

"During the pandemic my in person chess club was cancelled. Luckily I found Casual Chess, a virtual chess club through Meetup. You get to meet, chat and joke with people from around America and beyond and play chess. I love hearing the range of accents! I also like that I learn chess tips from Master Candidate Akeem Brown. I have improved my games, too."

- Stefanie F. (on Meetup)

"We decided to sign my son up for chess lessons to try to stretch his brain and give him another fun activity to do during the pandemic. He enjoys the lessons very much and is often excited to show us new moves and sequences that he is learning. I've noticed that his chess skills and strategies have improved quite a bit!"

- Adriane D. (on Google)

"Very interesting book selection"

- Tony L. (on Nextdoor)

"They have a nice assortment of games, and have a very impressive set of math, computing and science books for adults on sale, as well as classic literature."
