OLC RUBIK'S CUBE SUMMER CAMP
June 24-28, 2024
Students will learn how to solve the Rubik's Cube* persevering during 5 days to master the 8 steps to become solvers. Every day in class, we will teach and practice the daily goals, and students will gain extra practice at home and come to class next day ready to advance in their way to solve the Rubik's Cube. At the end of the camp, everyone will be either solving the Rubik's Cube or going home with a step by step guide to become a solver very soon!
Notes: 1) This camp is most ideal for beginner learners of the 3x3 cube, although learners of other cube sizes are also welcome.
2) We will only allow a total of 10 students for this particular camp. Please sign up as soon as possible before spots are taken.
3) Each student will be given their own Rubik's Cube upon coming to the camp.
Deadline to register is on Friday, June 21st @ 4:00pm (PT).
About Our Camp Instructor
Marcos Rodriguez Romero
Marcos is an Oregon licensed school teacher who during the last 2 years has taught 40+ students how to solve the Rubik's Cube. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Marcos holds a Bachelors in Journalism and a Masters in Political Communications from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a Masters in Bilingual Education from Portland State University. He has taught in Spanish Dual Language elementary school in Beaverton School District from 2016 and runs an After School Rubik's Club at Aloha Huber Park K-8.

- Day 1: Daisy and White Cross
- Day 2: Bottom Layer
- Day 3: Middle Layer
- Day 4: Yellow Cross and Yellow Face
- Day 5: Corners and Last Step.
SCHEDULING:
- 8:30am-11:30am (drop off time 8:15am-8:30am / pick up time 11:30am-11:45am)
PRICING:
- $200.00 (for current Orenco Learning Club members)
- $220.00 (for non-members)
WAITLIST & CANCELLATIONS:
- If spots are filled up, your child will be put on a WAITLIST with a position number (ex. 1st in line). You will be notified via phone or email if there are any withdrawals based on your position number. If you decline to take the spot, we will contact the next person in line on the Waitlist.
- If, for whatever reason, your child cannot make it to the entire summer camp after being registered, please give us a call or send us an email at least 3 days before the start of camp and we'll give you a full refund (if you've already paid). The available space will then be given to the next person in line on the WAITLIST.
