OLC ARDUINO SUMMER CAMP
(Robotics for ages 7-13 years)
August 3 to 7, 2026
8:30am - 11:30am
This is a half-day week-long camp where students learn about Arduino programming and circuit building. Arduino is an open-source platform that is best for beginners who are looking to get started with electronics. By the end of the camp, they will build their own projects.
Notes: 1) We will only allow a total of 10 students for this particular camp. Please sign up as soon as possible before spots are taken.
2) Arduino ELEGOO Basic Starter Kit is included with the camp fee.
Deadline to register is on Friday, July 31st @ 8:00pm (PT).
About Our Arduino Instructor
Jerry Sherrard
Jerry Sherrard is a private chess coach and an Arduino instructor. He has been teaching Arduino and electronics for over 15 years. He completed his Electrical Engineering studies in 2005. Jerry is dedicated to teaching electronic concepts through fun hands-on projects and applied knowledge with a structured curriculum.
WHAT WE'LL COVER:
Campers will learn how electronics work from intro to microcontrollers to sensors to DC & servo motors.

SCHEDULING:
- August 3-7, 2026 (Monday to Friday)
- 8:30am-11:30am (drop off time 8:15am-8:30am / pick up time 11:30am-11:45am)
Campers will receive a daily schedule a few days before the start of camp.
PRICING:
- $275.00 (for current Orenco Learning Club members)
- $300.00 (for non-members)
Campers will receive the ELEGOO Basic Starter Kit and a camp t-shirt. They will use the laptops and computer mice from OLC.
WAITLIST, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:
- If spots are filled up, your child will be put on a WAITLIST with a position number (ex. 1st in line). You will be notified via phone or email if there are any withdrawals based on your position number. If you decline to take the spot, we will contact the next person in line on the Waitlist.
- If, for whatever reason, your child cannot make it to the summer camp after being registered, you will receive a full refund if you inform us 5 or more days before camp starts. If you cancel less than 5 days prior to start of camp, we will only give a partial refund. (We'll take off $50 from the total paid amount.)
- If a camp is cancelled by Orenco Learning Club due to low registration, full refund will be given to those who have already registered.
